Make your own non-toxic, all-purpose cleaner
08 Feb 2024 by Ted Escobedo 2 min read
Homemade cleaners are a great alternative to store-bought chemicals. They are less likely to cause harm or irritation, environmentally friendly and easy to make. Another benefit is that you know exactly what’s in them. While you can find "green" cleaning products in the store, they may still contain harsh irritants. Making your own cleaners at home eliminates this risk, here’s a popular ‘recipe.’
DIY All Purpose Cleaner
Ingredients
1/4 cup vinegar
12-20 drops essential oil (Lavender works well!)
1 tsp castile or phosphorous-free dish soap or washing soda
2 cups boiled or distilled water
Instructions
1. Fill cleaning spray bottle with 2-4 cups distilled or boiled (then cooled) water.
2. Add all other ingredients. Shake well.
