It’s summertime and nothing screams summer like ice cream. But, if you are watching your weight, ice cream can be a real diet buster. Greek yogurt might become your go-to cool snack. Plain Greek yogurt provides a creamy base and protein, while honey adds natural sweetness.
Here are some other substitutions to satisfy your sweet tooth:
• Nut butters like peanut butter, when paired with apple slices or celery, can satisfy a sweet and salty craving.
• Dark chocolate: Dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao) is rich in antioxidants and can satisfy a chocolate craving in moderation.
• Baked fruit: Baked apples or pears with cinnamon can be a warm and comforting sweet treat.
• Homemade smoothies: Blend fruits, yogurt, and other healthy ingredients for a customizable and satisfying sweet drink.
