Vinegar is a versatile and effective natural cleaner for spring cleaning. Here's how to use it:
1. All-Purpose Cleaner:
Mix equal parts distilled white vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
Optional additions: Add a few drops of essential oils (like lemon, tea tree, or orange) for a pleasant scent. Many essential oils are often touted to have restorative properties and are used in aromatherapy to promote mental and physical well-being for various purposes like stress relief, improving mood, and even addressing some physical ailments.
2. Cleaning Specific Items:
• Windows: Use the vinegar and water solution to clean windows, then wipe with a squeegee.
• Showerheads: Soak showerheads in a bag filled with vinegar or spray with the solution to remove mineral buildup.
• Drains: Pour vinegar and baking soda down the drain, cover, and let it fizz to unclog and deodorize.
• Dishwashers: Run an empty dishwasher cycle with vinegar to remove mineral buildup.
• Coffee Makers: Descale your coffee maker with a mixture of water and vinegar.
