Do less for National Wellness Month

By - Ted Escobedo 4 hours ago   1 min read

Wellness isn’t always about doing more. Sometimes it’s about deliberately doing less. Ten quiet minutes may not sound significant, but creating a small pause in a busy day can give your mind and body an opportunity to slow down, reset and reconnect.

Experiment with what those 10 minutes look like for you. Try some gentle stretching when you wake up. Sit outside with your morning coffee without looking at your phone. Practice slow, deep breathing. Try a beginner meditation, a few simple yoga poses or tai chi. Even closing your eyes and listening to music you love can become a restorative ritual when you give it your full attention.
Choose one practice this month and give it 10 minutes a day for a week. Then ask yourself a simple question: Do I feel better afterward? If the answer is yes, keep going.
