Move For Your Overall Health

Exercise hasn’t been proven to prevent ovarian cancer. But staying active can help you maintain a healthy weight, and excess body weight has been associated with an increased risk of ovarian cancer. Regular exercise also supports your overall health.

1. AIM FOR 150 MINUTES A WEEK.
Work toward at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week. Brisk walking, cycling, swimming, dancing and plenty of other activities count.
2. MAKE MOVEMENT PART OF YOUR DAY.
Exercise doesn’t have to happen at the gym. Take a walk at lunch, work in the yard, take the stairs or simply get up and move when you’ve been sitting too long.
3. MOVE TO HELP MANAGE YOUR WEIGHT.
Having excess body weight or obesity has been linked with increased ovarian cancer risk. Physical activity combined with healthy eating can help you reach and maintain a healthier weight.Muévase para su salud integral
