By - Ted Escobedo 16 hours ago   1 min read

Regular physical activity is associated with a lower risk of breast cancer. It also helps with weight management, which becomes particularly important after menopause, when excess body weight is linked with increased breast cancer risk.

1. AIM FOR 150–300 MINUTES A WEEK.
Brisk walking, cycling, swimming, dancing and other moderate activities count. You can break that time into smaller chunks throughout the week.
2. SIT LESS. MOVE MORE.
Exercise doesn’t have to happen at a gym. Walk at lunch, take the stairs, garden or simply get up and move when you’ve been sitting for a long time.
3. LET EXERCISE HELP MANAGE YOUR WEIGHT.
Maintaining a healthy weight throughout life is important. Excess body weight after menopause is associated with increased breast cancer risk.
