Taking Care of Yourself Is a Power Move

When you're young, it's easy to believe that good health is something you can take for granted. You may feel strong, energetic and capable of handling just about anything. Why worry about your health when there are so many other things you'd rather be doing?

Here's something worth considering: Taking care of yourself isn't about worrying that something might go wrong. It's about giving yourself the best opportunity to enjoy everything that lies ahead. And you don't have to change your entire lifestyle overnight.
Start with one decision. Maybe it's getting more sleep instead of staying up scrolling through your phone. Maybe it's drinking more water, going for a walk, cutting back on vaping or finally making that medical appointment you've been putting off. Small decisions can become habits. And healthy habits can make a meaningful difference over time. There's also something empowering about taking responsibility for your own well-being. You don't need to follow every fitness trend, look like a social media influencer or measure your progress against someone else's achievements.
Your health is personal. Your goals should be, too. This week, challenge yourself to make one positive change. Keep it realistic, give yourself time and don't get discouraged if you occasionally fall short.
