What to eat before working out

Our bodies need fuel – especially if we are planning to get some exercise. When choosing the right foods, you want to have something that includes carbohydrates: this could be a banana, or low-fat natural yogurt, crackers with low-fat soft cheese, a smoothie or a glass of low-fat milk. Avoid foods high in fat or fiber, as they take longer to digest and may cause stomach discomfort during exercise. Here is a great smoothie recipe for a great workout:
Creamy Banana Strawberry Split Smoothie
Ingredients
1 cup almond milk
1 chopped banana, frozen
¾ cup strawberries
3 ice cubes
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon ground flax seed
1 teaspoon ground chia seeds
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Blend almond milk, banana, strawberries, ice cubes, protein powder, vanilla extract, honey, ground flax seeds, ground chia seeds, and cinnamon in a blender until smooth.
