As we finish off the last of the Christmas meal leftovers, it is actually a great time to start thinking about how you may want to improve your nutritional habits come January.

Dieticians know that healthy meals begin on the grocery list and are easily accessible in our refrigerators and pantries. By buying and preparing your list of the foods you would like to include more in your diet, you will give you the added advantage when it comes time to prepare meals or eat a snack.  Some of the most important things to add to your list: Fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, low fat dairy, multi-grain breads and cereals, foods high in fiber.
