National Ice Cream Cone Day

National Ice Cream Cone Day

22 Sep 2023 by Ted Escobedo   1 min read

Despite the official end of summer, National Ice Cream Cone Day continues to be celebrated on September 22. While some controversy exists as to who invented the ice cream cone, the earliest mention shows up in French cookbooks around 1825. Originally referred to as “little waffles,” the cones were waffles rolled into the shape of a cone. Whatever the official history, it’s a great day to enjoy an ice cream cone in your near future.
