Make your own sleep sachet to place under your pillow

By - Ted Escobedo 1 hour ago   1 min read

Create a sleep sachet by filling a small, breathable fabric pouch (like muslin or organza) with a calming blend of dried herbs and 5–8 drops of essential oil. Mix in dry white rice to help distribute and preserve the scent. Place it on your nightstand or slip it inside your pillowcase.

The Best Sleep-Inducing Ingredients
To create a calming atmosphere, choose herbs and oils well-known for their relaxing properties:
• Dried Herbs: Combine 1–2 tablespoons each of dried lavender (for anxiety relief), chamomile (for sedation), and valerian root.
• Essential Oils: Lavender, bergamot, cedarwood, and vetiver work best.
• The Carrier: Mix your herbs with 1/4 cup of dry white rice or Epsom salts to lock in the essential oils and prevent the fabric from staining
Assembly Instructions
1. Mix the base: In a bowl, combine your dry herbs and rice/Epsom salt.
2. Add the aroma: Drop 5–8 drops of your chosen essential oil directly onto the mixture and stir well.
3. Fill the pouch: Pour the mixture into a breathable bag (a drawstring muslin pouch or organza favor bag works perfectly).
4. Seal it: Pull the drawstring tight and tie it into a secure bow.
5. Usage: Place it under your pillow, on your nightstand, or even inside the pillowcase itself.
