How to Grill Summer Fruit

By - Ted Escobedo 1 year ago   1 min read

Grilled summer fruits like cantaloupe and watermelon will be the hit of the cookout. While each kind of fruit is a little different when it comes to grilling, here some common things to keep in mind:
• Fruit softens as it cooks, so bigger pieces and keeping the rind/skin on is really a must.
• Because fruit is primarily sugar, it can get sticky when exposed to the grill. Be sure to spray or oil the grill to help keep it from sticking.

• Fruit can char quickly because of the sugars, but that doesn’t mean it’s soft, so you want to cook it away from hot, direct heat.
