Get your teenager to volunteer over the holidays

By - Ted Escobedo 1 hour ago   1 min read

If you want to keep your ‘near-adulthood,’ family members busy during their time off for the holidays, volunteering for a good cause may be just the thing to keep them on the nice list. Teens can volunteer around the holidays by serving meals at a soup kitchen, sorting donations at a food bank, or assisting local shelters and food pantries with holiday meal preparation.

Other options include collecting and distributing toys through programs like Toys for Tots, sponsoring a family in need, or visiting and bringing cheer to residents at nursing homes, hospitals, or care facilities. Here’s a list of some ideas: https://www.elpasotexas.gov/careers/opportunities/volunteer/
