Check out the poppies before they are all gone

By - Ted Escobedo 5 hours ago   1 min read

Poppies in El Paso generally bloom from late January through early April, with the peak usually occurring in March. While they typically last until early April, favorable spring rains can extend the bloom through mid-May.

For 2026, it is reported as a late bloom, with peak viewing expected into early April. Best Viewing Location: The Franklin Mountains, particularly around the El Paso Museum of Archaeology at 4301 Transmountain Road.
