Making time for regular exercise can be a challenge for anyone but, imagine adding a child or two to the struggle. For most mothers, the combination of work, familial demands and general exhaustion all mount up to make the goal of exercise out of reach.
But perhaps the greatest challenges are finding the time to work out. Unfortunately, we cannot add more hours to the day or ensure that we will always have the energy for more physical activity. Experts recommend going easy on yourself but to take on the challenge by:
1. Make ‘me time’ as much a priority as anyone else’s needs.
2. It doesn’t have to be hours. A fifteen-minute workout break is surprisingly invigorating.
3. Don’t feel guilt on the days you can’t do it. Forgive yourself and focus solely on the number of times you did workout during the week.
4. Leave the house if possible. Workout groups are great for Moms they are designed for mothers in all phases from pregnancy to grand motherhood are available and offer women specialized guidance for staying fit. Here’s one: Sweat Like a Mother: https://www.sweatlikeamother.com/el-paso/
