Thanksgiving Day walk is great exercise

If you are looking to help balance the high caloric Thanksgiving Day meal with exercise, going out for a long run tops the list of most effective choices according to fitness experts. Running is a great way to get the heart rate up higher and is one of the best forms of cardio in terms of how much energy you utilize.
But if running isn't an option, you can always get a family team football game going or get everyone to go for a walk. If you take a brisk walk around the neighborhood for about an hour, this can easily burn 400-600 calories. Whatever activity you choose, it’s a good idea to get out, burn some calories, and focus on staying active. (Before settling down to the biggest eating holiday of the year.)
