It’s common for some people to lose their motivation during what seems like endless summer days. Whether it be work, home improvement or upkeep, exercise or something simple like cooking, some days are just hard to get yourself going. While a severe lack of motivation can be the sign of underlying depression or emotional issues, many times it is just a matter of being your own motivational coach. Here are a few tips from: www.betterup.com
Listen to podcasts that share positive, encouraging stories. Surround yourself with people in your life who are also working on goals and share progress and challenges.Give yourself incentives or rewards for accomplishing tasks. For every task you do that you don’t like, do something that makes you happy. Break your to-do list into manageable sections. Make your tasks into habits in your daily routine. Get outside for a walk to center your focus. Be kind and compassionate to yourself. Argue the opposite when you think negative thoughts. Source: https://www.betterup.com/blog/lack-of-motivation
