Taking your space

During the pandemic many of the social rules that we have known went right out the window. As we slowly readjust to the world, our instinct may be to surround ourselves with (hopefully vaccinated) friends and family. But it is important to remember to create an emotional retreat for yourself. Readjusting to ‘normal’ life may be overwhelming in most unexpected ways. We may feel a little apprehensive about reconnecting with someone after a year – even if we love them. Psychologists suggest that this is normal.Readjustment may take a little time and may require you to spend some time putting yourself in a new ‘mind space.’
