Indoor walking burns calories

It may be getting too hot in El Paso to take long walks. but that should not deter you. Start walking indoors. (But if you do walk outdoors, early morning or late evenings are best) Fitness experts know that anything that results in calorie-burning counts as exercise and house walking does just that. Make it your goal to get up and move 10 minutes out of every hour. If you can do more than that then even better! Depending on your weight, you can burn about 50 calories for every 10 minutes of brisk walking that you do.
If space is a challenge for indoor walking, you can lose weight by walking in place, especially if you were sedentary before, any type of movement can increase the number of calories you burn. Pair regular walking in place with a healthy, balanced diet and you have the recipe for weight loss success.
As a final option – head to the mall! There is plenty of indoor space to walk in, it’s air-conditioned and window shopping is always fun.
