Be present by noticing your surroundings

Many a guru, life coach, inspirational speaker or counselor have talked about the importance of ‘living in the moment.’ While it is in concept, a great way to help alleviate stress and bring a sense of calm into your life, it may not be easy to do. Here is a method recommended by www.verywellmind.com:
One way to be in the present moment is by noticing your surroundings. How often do you take time out of your day to look around and see what's going on? When was the last time you sat down, closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and just looked at everything around you?
Take this opportunity right now: close both of your eyes and take a deep breath, then open them and really take in where you are.
When you stop to look at your surroundings and take in everything around you, it's easier to live in the present moment.
