National Caregivers Day

National Caregivers Day

17 Feb 2022 by Ted Escobedo   1 min read

National Caregivers Day is observed on the third Friday in February — on February 18 this year. The day honors individuals who selflessly provide personal care, and both physical and emotional support to those who need it most. Caregivers can be but are not necessarily health care professionals. Many spouses and other family members take on the role of caregiver. From caring for an aging parent or helping someone through a particular illness, caregivers offer a gentle and dependable hand. In most cases it is a labor of love, which is why it is essential to appreciate and thank them for their long-term commitment. Today, on National Caregivers Day, we encourage you to recognize those friends and family members who make it their priority to care for their loved ones.Flowers, gift cards or just a heart-felt note of thanks are great ways to show the caregiver you care too.
