Exercise can be pretty boring sometimes, especially of you have been doing the same routine or if you haven’t found an exercise that helps you get active, lose weight AND makes you smile. Well, we have something we think you will jump at the chance to try:
The side to side jump:
- Stand with your legs hip-width apart and slightly bent.
- Push using your legs and core to jump up and over to one side, as though you are jumping over something.
- Land in starting position, then continue to jump back and forth. Make sure to spring with your legs and roll through your foot to land. Aim for 10 jumps on each side.
Need a slight modification? Instead of jumping, just step side to side. This movement will help to increase your heart rate (if done rapidly) and will help improve your balance while being less demanding on your knees.
