At times when our emotions run high it is easy to assign blame to others as to why we feel the way we do. “She made me very angry,” or “he really bummed me out,” are phrases that come to us naturally. However, that is simply not true. Our emotions are ours and ours alone. While circumstances and people may influence our emotional state, ultimately we must be mindful that how we react emotionally is within our control.
