Every year on the third Friday in October, National Mammography Day is observed during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This day serves as a reminder to all women that the best defense is early detection. A mammogram can often detect a problem before there is any outward physical sign. Today, on Inspire Friday, we encourage you to schedule your mammogram.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation will host a Pink Pop-Up event where women can receive free 3-D Mammogram Vouchers, get a flu or COVID vaccine, and visit with the many vendors who are celebrating women’s health and wellness.
