Keep a healthy attitude about food

Local newscasts show long lines at big wholesale chains and grocery store aisles that are left bare. What these means is that a lot of us have been stocking up on food items. While being prepared is an absolute necessity these days, overeating is an absolute possibility. Here are some tips to curb the urge to keep a healthy attitude about food.
Put the food away and get it out of your line of sight. We know we’re programmed to eat what’s in front of us. It is important to portion out reasonable servings. You will eat less if you don’t eat right out of the Costco value pack. You may also want to store bulk packages elsewhere.
Create an eating plan for the day — not a diet, just want you intend to eat, including snacks, so you’re not making food decisions in the moment. Ordering delivery or takeout? The impulse control can be tricky, especially when that pizza, burrito or fries are a tap away. But you can factor these meals into your plan, too.
